I was walking to work after lunch today past Grandma's house and suddenly missed her so much. I wanted to be able to look in the living room window and see her sitting in her chair.

This time of year always makes me miss them, I can't bring myself to take auntie daphne's name out of my address book yet.

Hi Anne, It's funny, must be the time of the year. I was driving home in the snow last night having been at the church to see slides of a fiend who has been to Belize, when I suddenly thought I must phone Daph to see if she has made her cakes & nuts and bolts yet.It was so real,I could just see her looking in the oven at that roaster!I really do miss her a lot, as I do Betty and JAck, but thelast few years Daph and I had a lot more contact and fun together.

I keep thinking that I was pretty lucky to have had so much time with her, growing up so close... also lucky to have had so many giant tubs of nuts & bolts over the course of my life!

Good memories make all the difference! I too have had a few "must call Mom" moments recently. Maybe we all just feel her and Betty looking down and being our guardian angels.
